Recol Engineering Ltd has been trading successfully from our Northampton base for over 30 years. The business was established by Rhid Guntrip (our current MD) and has grown incrementally in that time to become regarded as one of the most respected sheet metal fabrication companies in Europe – by manufacturing high quality, precision sheet metalwork in stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.
The Recol vision has always been that of high quality goods with manufacturing flexibility and excellent customer service. To this end, Recol has always placed a strong emphasis on a program of reinvestment – through procurement of the very latest in technology developments within the industry. At Recol we believe that this forward looking approach, has secured the company’s place within a very competitive market – and has helped us gain a strong and diverse customer base within the UK and Europe.
At the same time, this innovative philosophy has also enabled us to retain a loyal, long serving, highly skilled workforce at our two adjacent work-site complex in Northampton.
At Recol we have the facilities for producing complete and sub complete assemblies, along with a comprehensive packaging and delivering service. Our flexible manufacturing environment has given rise to reduced lead-time and unit cost, contributing to one of Recol’s main priorities – the provision of total customer satisfaction at all times.
We use the most useful and appropriate computer integrated manufacturing technology tools with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP 2) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) in an integrated factory approach with the key operational objective of achieving capacity management that is achievable in terms of both materials available and capacity available. In this way we expect to be able to satisfy our customers by not only clearly saying what we do, but more importantly – doing what we say.

X-Treme Systems is a relatively new company that required great support in its start-up, not just precision parts and components but design support also. Recol Ltd was the company that gave us that support and high quality finish parts for X-treme Systems product line. I’ve had dealings with plenty of engineering companies in the past and always been let down at some point, Recol Ltd was the complete opposite and have fully supported X-Treme Systems with building its brand portfolio. Recol’s in-house MIE Trak pro operating system ensures you get the product and finish you require at the time you need it.
